Happy New Year: Best of 2012

Today, I`m leaving you with a non regular outfit post, without any recap of 2012! It was a great year with lots of memories to be kept. Days with my family, boyfriend, friends and puppies, graduation of my sister, birth of several babies from my closest friends, great parties, photoshoots, travels, new camera and many, many other things. At the bottom line, it was a good year with lots of laugh, happiness and joy!
For a NY`s Eve I`m not having plans at all, it will be a PJ night with "Love actually" as a movie tradition, or I will ended up in another city!

We are getting closer to the NY`s eve, and I`m only having a one thing in my mind, I will be one year older and my wrinkles will grow! In the name of that, I decided to put my favorite sunglasses and forget the whole thing. ;)

Well, I officially became a copycat! When i saw this great post from a lovely Jules I felt instant love for it! Immediately knew that I will wear something similar, so i took her recipe for the upper body, but instead of denim i choose black skinny jeans for those winter wrapped sausages, I meant legs. ;)
 Do you have some plans for the upcoming weekend? I had some shopping in my mind! ;)

I passed by this lovely couple walking downtown. I stopped them right at the crosswalk and asked if I could take their photo. The man said, " Of Course", while his date annonced. " Hurry up we are heading to a party my dear."

I hope everyone had a great holiday so far. I just got a wonderful email from Danny Roche after he gave his grandmother the Advanced Style book  for Christmas. Read the story below to see how she reacted.

This christmas I gave my grandmother “Advanced Style”  Two hours later she comes back all dressed up in a big fur hat, pearls, diamonds a fur coat and a red scarf/turban. I took pictures of this rare occasion. I had a talk with her and asked her why she doesn't dress up anymore and this is what she had to say:

“ I grew up in the shadow of manhattan in a town called Jersey City. Looking across the hudson I often said to myself as a child one day I'm gonna go over there to enjoy the beautiful sites to see. The most popular past time growing up as a child in the depression was the going to the movies. I was always fascinated by all these beautiful actresses in these gorgeous clothes which made me become fashion conscious as I aged. I believe it influenced me in wanting to become a hairdresser to make people look glamorous  When I became older (late 40's) I stopped dressing up because I moved into the suburbs of New Jersey where it wasn't as fashionable. When I put on the old clothes again the other day I felt young again! I really miss dressing up.”  -Adeline Roche

Okay, i have just enough time to publish this post without writing any hilarious sentences for you. Sorry for that. I was wearing one of my favorite jeans for AW/2012/13 . Sounds pretty cool when you type it like that, but its from Bershka baby! Who cares about big brands? It only matters that you like, feel cozy and be you! As long as you follow these simple rules you will be princess in your own universe I promise! Just look at me! I rock the world everyday in my head! ;) As a cherry on top, i put this beanie from my elementary school! Do you have any items from that period? I`m a hoarder, so i needed to do that! ;)

Kako se približavamo kraju godine, sumiramo sve kroz šta smo prošli, sagledavamo ono što imamo i još jednom izražavamo zahvalnost na tome. Shvatamo da je za sreću ipak potrebno samo malo i da još uvek postoje osobe koje žele da ovaj svet bude lepše mesto. Iz tog razloga, sa vama danas želim da podelim nešto što apsolutno nema veze sa modom, niti sa blogovima, ali ima veze sa velikim srcem. Srcem svih onih koji pokušavaju da nešto promene i nečemu doprinesu. Oduvek sam bila od onih koji smatraju da se sa humanošću ne treba hvaliti, i dalje stojim iza toga, ali je ponekad potrebno i otvoreno pričati o tome kako bi okolina postala svesna i sama se priključila.
Zbog toga, svoje online mesto po prvi put koristim u te svrhe u nadi da će bar nečemu doprineti.
Verujem da je većina vas čula za akciju "Osmeh na dar" , za one koji to nisu, Ovde mogu pročitati nešto više, a sve što je potrebno da uradite jeste da se uputite (ukoliko budete u Beogradu) u klub Re:publika, 27.12. (od 21:00) ,platite ulaz 250dinara ili ponesete paketić sa sobom. Prilično jednostavno zar ne? :)

Druga stvar koju sam želela da podelim sa vama je još jedna mlada organizacija koja za sobom ima već uspešno sprovedenu akciju a tiče se prikupljanja pomoći za decu iz Prihvatilišta na Voždovcu. Ono što je važno napomenuti, jeste da je ovo tek početak, da postoji puno ideja, a da ste za njihovu realizaciju potrebni isključivo vi. Ne odnosi se samo na Beograd, već može i trebalo bi biti lokalnog karaktera te se iskreno nadam da ćete se i ovome drage volje priključiti! Sve potrebne informacije možete naći na njihovoj Facebook stranici "Dobro drvo" Ovde, dok je sajt u izradi. O trenutnoj akciji, možete pročitati Ovde. Iz skoro pa šale jednog četvrtka, jedne mlade osobe, nastalo je nešto što zaista ima potencijal, a sve što je potrebno je naša dobra volja. Takođe jednostavno? :)

"You Made My Day"

This stunning lady was walking across Madison Ave when I noticed her wonderful coat, gloves, lovely red lipstick. I asked if I could take her photo and she kindly replied in French that she didn't speak English. My friend Fanny, a native French speaker, was with me and I asked if she would tell the woman that I thought she looked very beautiful and that I would like to take her photograph. Fanny asked and she replied that she had just received some very sad news and that my compliment had brightened her spirits and made her day. She posed for me on the corner of 65th and Madison, still a bit sad with a tinge of hope. Before she went on her way she gave Fanny and me a big hug and kiss on the cheek and told us that her day would be better now that she ran into us. It is she who truly made my day!

Last night i was at grand opening of INES atelier showroom, and im more than happy to say that our lovely city have one more cool place for shopping. Beautiful interior for a gorgeous pieces will leave you speechless! Sadly i had less than hour for a short tour and quick snaps, so here are the results, a little sneak peek of what this great brand offers.
